Liver issues

Hey everyone,

I'm generally a lurker but thought I'd pop in and also say thank you

for all the great advice and information on this list! You guys are

awesome. I don't know what I'd do or where I'd be without you all.

I also have two quick questions for you.

#1 is is 10 months old and we were told he has some liver

problems. Elevated ALT and AST enzymes. He's on Actigol to help him

produce bile which I understand is considered normal for people with

CF. But is it normal for this to appear so young? When I asked the

doctor he kind of shyed away from me and said yes he's seen it.

Seemed kind of suspicious.

#2 is I've been trying to introduce milk to by adding a

little to his morning cereal instead of using formula (Pregestimil).

Everytime I do he gets a mild rash on his chin but doesn't seem to be

affected in any other ways. If he were allergic to milk wouldn't he

get gassy or have some stomach irritation? Anyone else ever get this?

Sorry this is a little long. That's what happens when you lurk. By

the time you get around to getting it out there's usually a lot of

it!!
