Guest guest
July 17 I had an ERCP to take another look before deciding on the appropriate surgery. A stent was placed but the procedure was done rapidly and manometry was not obtained because I had difficulty breathing. I was d/c'd on the evening of the 18th not even tolerating solid food. I am still having a lot of RUQ pain; very tender when touched, bloating. I am taking in solid food with immediate diahrrea afterwards. I am extremely weak and tired. My previous ERCP was nothing like this one at all. Has any one else had similiar difficulties with an ERCP? Thanks so much
Guest guest
, I've had a pancreatitis attack and been hospitalized after every ERCP I've ever had done. Usually I come out of the anaesthetic only to feel unbelievable pain, and some doctors have warned me to expect it. Other times I've made it home only to have to go back an hour or so later due to the pain. I am supposed to be having my stent replaced and check for polyps in my upper GI tract, but can't risk having an attack at this time, so will just request an endoscopy to check for the polyps and go under for stent replacement when I get back from my clinical trial in a few weeks time..
