Guest guest
Hi Debbie: The pain was mostly RUQ and pretty severe. Taking 20 mgs. of Oxycontin 3 times a day, hardly touching it! I felt fatigued much easier, and had a hard time sitting up. Sometimes the pain would be worse in the front, or in the back, but never both at the same time. Life would have been impossible with the pain meds. My potassium was also found to be low in the hospital, which they gave me orally and through IV. The pain I am currently experiencing feels more as a results of the surgery, than the normal pain. Though I overdid it yesterday, and feel pretty sore. But it feels so good to feel like doing anything! I'm scared though because I haven't felt this good in so long, I'm afraid I'll turn the corner and be right back where I started. They are going to take the stent out on Monday. It has only been in 2 weeks. Since I feel so good, I was hoping they would leave it in longer. Hope you had a good trip, and pain didn't get in your way.
