Guest guest
Hi y'all, It's been a while since I've updated what's been going on in my white house on Nanny Creek and the May River. My pseudocysts have been arguing at each other quite a bit these last few days and I'm suffering for their bad temperments. So I've been back on my pain meds 24/7, and I hate that. I saw my GI last week to find out what he and the Savannah radiologist had to say about that big mysterious pseudocyst that shows one day and doesn't the next. My GI finally admitted " that there is quite a mess in there " , but wouldn't elaborate. He also wouldn't let me have the CT-films back, he said he wanted to take them to yet another specialist for a consultation, and that I would need another scan in four weeks. Since there's only been off and on pain for several weeks, and I have some plans for the next few weeks that don't include doctors, hospitals or any more procedures, this delay was fine with me. But, I will say if the pain continues like it's been these last couple of days I won't be able to delay getting back in to the doctor. I need to get over to Savannah this week, anyway, to get all new pain med prescriptions. My BG's have been living up to their " brittle " diagnosis and giving me some hairy moments, too. Going up into the high 400's and then dropping to below 50 within a day's time, so that has kept me close to home and spending much of my time testing, testing, testing. It's discouraging because they can go along so well for so many days and I start to relax, and then suddenly they go haywire again. Consequently, because of the pain and the crazy BG's, I've not been getting any reasonable sleep I took my 240+ pages of SSDI documentation to the SSDI office Tuesday. There were 12 chairs in the waiting room, and 16 people in the room, all with appointments, and one man sitting behind the screen interviewing. I didn't have an appointment, I just thought hand delivering that much paperwork would be easier than trying to mail it because we've had horrible problems with our local US post office. The Post Master and some of the employees were arrested two months ago for throwing undelivered mail in the dumpster, so I've mistrusted sending anything important out of that facility ever since. Anyway, I don't look forward to having to go to the SSDI even WITH an appointment, if that's what the line is like. They even had a security officer there in the room to monitor the people waiting for their appointments.....really weird place. Since I've given them all the paperwork they normally would have had to send off for, all my doctor's records, all my hospital records, and all my lab reports, plus letters from my doctors and personal friends, I wonder how long this processing will take? Anyone with any ideas? There isn't anything left that they have to send away for. Sorry to sound so glum tonight. It's just one of those nights (days) when it all seems to be going the wrong way and I'm sick and tired of the pain, the lack of sleep and feeling this way.....y'all know how that goes. Thanks for letting me throw my own pity party, surely tomorrow will be better. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SE & SW Regional Rep. PAI, Intl.
