Hi ,

Welcome to this wonderful support group. You will find that there are people

here who know more than most of the doctors we have all encountered.

First of all, where do you live.

I have had 5 ERCP's with stent placement by Dr. Evan Fogel at Indiana University

(he is going to be a speaker at the Symposium this year). He is wonderful and

one of the best GI docs around. I have Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction along with

chronic pancreatitis. I also have a loop in my pancreatic duct that causes my

pressures to continuously build up. After the fifth ERCP and stenting, Dr.

Fogel said that we can't do anymore because of the acute pancreatic attacks I

would get after each one. It is doing more damage to my pancreas than good. I

know people who have had the stents placed over and over again. I don't about

your history, problems, etc., but if you want to share any with me I would be

glad to try and help you.
