Guest guest
Since for some reason I can't send posts or receive them right now (HELP Torsten--hope you get that e-mail soon!), I'm posting this from the homepage. Anybody have any advice for me on this? Cody has complained of joint pain a LOT in the last few weeks--started in early February heavy- duty (and mildly before that for a few months). I have mentioned it to his doc before, but it was kind of dismissed--well, not really dismissed, but not taken as seriously as I'd like it to be taken. I've never gotten any answers about it, and it's getting to the point where he is constantly complaining about his knees and elbows and wrists hurting-- " Mom, we REALLY need to get an x-ray of this--I think I'm broken! " My poor guy--he tires out so quickly yet, too. I am under the impression that they think it's all caused by the fact that he was so sick, and that he is now so far underweight again, and that once he is " better " , the problem will go away. They don't seem to get it when I say that he's complained of his legs hurting and his wrists for quite awhile--albeit more mildly and less often--even when we had him up to 45 pounds. It's getting frustrating!! I am going to argue with them about this at CF Clinic on the 26th. Speaking of the 26th--that's CF Clinic all day (usually from 8 am to about 2 pm), and they ended up scheduling my husband's wrist/elbow surgery for the same day!! Well, I should say HE scheduled it! Grrrr...and they are at different clinics/hospitals, totally across town. So I'm going to call the CF Clinic and tell them I need to rush Cody through because I'll have to go be with Mark--it's same day, so he'll get out that day too. At least he will if they only have to do the repair they think--there may be more though, requiring a more major surgery of cutting his ulna in his arm and resecting it to shorten it--OUCH!!!! Thanks in advance for any help/advice anyone can give me! S., mom to a (14, nocf), DJ (8, nocf) and Cody (7, pwcf)
