Guest guest
That was a terrific idea for the tree. One of my daughters does things like that . & if she does for others allot to. She is an Interior Decorator & they are truly georgous. She has trees all over her house in the larger rooms too. They do quite abit of entertaining as well.. She lets her daughters do smaller ones in their own bedrooms too. Very Christmas house!! I go up each year & she & I usually take them down. What a job. each ornament goes in special boxes, etc. That way when she goes to do next year , she just pulls by boxes, marked. One part of her storage attic over her garage, looks like a store stock room. BUT , it sure is simple & easy to do .I just put mine in those boxes you get at Wal-Mart & have little dividers in .are plastic, so I don't even tissue paper many of them. Lazy me(my kids help & take down, so I really don't have to do allot generally :) I really do like that ribbon idea. It sure would look great & seem to be easier to do. Thanks again for sharing Your checker red is delightful. I will share that with her too. LOVE & HUGS, GRDMBEV Boxes for the Kids Lives & Bev, I think the idea of keeping all their stuff in a box is great. More families should do something like that. We all have stacks of stuff that Mom kept over the years and gave to us after we were grown and just love all of it! Another thing a friend of mine did for her kids was to buy each of them a Christmas ornament each year and when they grew up and moved out on their own, she gave them all of their ornaments collected over the years. They had a head start on decorations for their own Christmas tree. Unlike me--my first " My Very Own " Christmas tree was made up of a yard of red and white gingham material, which I cut into 1 " strips and made bows ties around my fingers. The material was just enough to make one bow for each branch of the tree! It was kinda cute and kinda Charlie Brown-ish too! It did look much better in later years when I could afford more decorations. LOL!! Love all of you! Aunt B
