Dear Patty:

No, don't chew!

Buy fresh ginger root in the Asian foods section and cut off a piece

the size of your thumb. Peel it. Slice it and pour 2 cups boiling

water over the fresh ginger. Steep 5 minutes. Enjoy as hot tea, or

add ice. You can add more boiling water and re-use the same slices at

least once more. Then toss out the water-logged ginger and start

over.

You can do the same thing, adding a teabag of green tea for more

flavor.

With the candied ginger, I bite off a very tiny bit at a time and

enjoy the spicy taste.

As with anything, you must have a positive attitude, or it's not going

to work for you. And not everything works for every body. But I hope

this information helps.
