Guest guest
Dear Women friends, On top of phenols and salicylates causing PMS....before SCD because of my own suffering I too did some research....what I discovered is that vitamin B deficiency (what happens when our ileums get damaged and full of microorganisms and mucous...according to BTVC), in particular folic, B6 and B12....not only cause PMS but also can aggravate or be the cause of MORNING SICKNESS (and many many more symptoms of irritability, depression, chronic fatigue, and depression...even admit rage...and not being a very nice mom or wife during these times)! Which I would get with VENGEANCE ever time I was pregnant, during the PMS time and then get horrible ovarian cysts every time I would ovulate. Remember that the BTVC book also says that vitamin B deficiency affects the intestines ability to make enzymes also...this explains why the salicylates and phenols are not digested and get through the intestinal wall, to cause havoc on our mental health also. I like to remember that when we heal all these food intolerances to phenols and salicylates and B deficiencies and other nutritional imbalances correct themselves...but we have to eat a strict SCD diet...and I know not all of us Parents are wanting to do this. Might motivate some of us better who suffer...and make us realize that it's not just our kids. I am not going to deny that it is hard...and understand....it took me 9 months to want to do the SCDiet...the book didn't speak to me until I was truly " sick of being sick " and had exhausted everything that did not work...many experiments.....all failed. This last month I honestly noticed that my ovulation pain, PMS and menstrual cramps where not as bad.....I am looking forward to continued healing taking it ALL AWAY. Only on day 43....much healing to do. At this time the multi and B Vitamins from Freeda and using my Vitamin B nasal spray is helping so much during the healing stage...plus I do enzymes also....and only able to tolerate a few spoon fulls of goat yogurt a day (for the probiotics). Looking forward to next months cycle...wish is a miracle in itself...use to dread it! Also looking forward to not always having to take enzymes my whole life and adding SCD cheese and nut flours! This motivates me that SCD is working in every aspect of my life! Food for thought Sincerely, Antoinette. /Celiac/malabsorption and a leaky gut, and the neurological problems that go with it) RE: Re: Gwen -- PMS and salicylates Hi Kayla, I just looked at the high salicylate food list and was dismayed. The low sal foods are ones that often cause digestive problems for me. The high sals do look like our diet so that could explain the pms. I think I have to go another route. I am going to try enzymes for this just to check out the results. My midwife has heard of sals causing pms. Well, spread the word as far as you want. As a matter of fact, copy and paste my PMS story anywhere you want, just leave out my name and email address -- I'm sure there are whole internet forums on PMS -- But I don't have time to get on them and tell my PMS-cure story! Hi Antoinette, What brand of Vitamin B nasal spray are you using? And what kind of enzymes? Are there any other supplements, besides the ones you mention here, that you're taking? I'm asking, not just because of the " female issues " but also because you're healing so well from the nosebleeds/easy bruising/etc. kind of stuff my daughter has. I would love to simplify her supplement program and maybe the supps you're using would work for her, too. Thanks! Kayla
