As far as I know, the highest my lipase has ever been was 1960. I cannot

imagine having it in the 10,000 + range. However, some of the very worst

episodes (as far as pain, nausea, and vomiting) have been when my amylase was

normal and the lipase was either just barely elevated or else I didn't know what

it was because they didn't bother checking it.

I went two months without an ER visit or hospitalization (due to panc problems -

I had phlebitis and a spider bite, so had to go to the ER with those). I was in

the hosp with a panc attack the middle of August, so I'm working on a longer

record (than the two months) and holding my breath!
