Guest guest
Laurie ... Hey - I'd say trust your instincts. Plus, don't doctors (when you find the one who will take care of you for a long time to come) want to perform their own tests? If so, why go through a fragile procedure (ERCP) more times than needed? I am sorry for your anguish ... hang in there, Girl! Thoughtfully, Beth
Guest guest
Dear Laurie, I would say to trust your instincts, too. Rushing in to a procedure like an ERCP with a doctor that's already left you high and dry just doesn't sound like a wise move right now. If there are any complications, or if the ERCP indicates necessary surgery or procedures to be done, wouldn't you want a doctor that's going to stick with you through the whole tenure? I'm sorry that you're suffering now, and I hope you can get something worked out with a new GI real soon. But I think you need to wait for someone who's going to stay on your case as long as you need it. Couldn't you go ahead and get the medicine you need now from Dr. Whoisleaving, and then just cancel out on his rush job ERCP? Sort of underhanded, I know, but he's not really doing you any favors. Just my opinion...<smile> With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl.
