Guest guest
Dear Ruby, Without question, you would be justified in filing a formal complaint against the nurse and the hospital permitting such violation against doctor's orders. A good place to start with this would be by registering your complaint with JHACO, I have posted their website below: http://www.jcaho.org/ If you go to this website and click on " How to File A Complaint " it will take you to the page where you can fill out your information. It is up to those who are the injured party, unfortunately, to follow through with these complaints so that hospitals and their staff can be monitored and fined for improper medical procedures. By chance, it wasn't Richland Co. Hospital, was it? I ask that because we had a terrifying time with my sister-in-law when she was there a few years ago. They did some horrible, unsuitable surgery on her, nearly costing her life, and I had to get her an emergency transfer to MUSC, where they saved her life, finally. The damage that was done at Richland has totally disabled her. It was a five month ordeal and we were so happy to get her to MUSC and their top-notch medical staff. Keeping that in mind, I hope Floyd's time at MUSC will be brief and that he will be going home soon. I'll keep him in my prayers. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl. Note: All comments and advice are personal opinion only, and should not be substituted for professional medical consultation.
