Antoinette, in Dr. Haas book, does he talk about the connection with

schizophrenia and other neurological disorders? Like Elaine's 1 chapter in

BTVC? Thanks Pearl

Dear Pearl and to all,

This book is interesting. Back then " celiac " included ALL

malabsorption syndromes. Not just the gluten problem of today.

Yes, Dr. Haas talks about the symptoms of " celiac " in the old way of

looking at it. Some of these symptoms of malabsorption and nutrient

defeciency caused what would now be called nerological and

psychological problems such as many forms of mental illness and

Autism Spectrum Problems. Elaine puts it more elegantly in her book

Breaking The Vicious Cycle. " I have not recieved Psychology and THe

GUt Syndrome...but from what I here this author also makes this

connection with the damaged injured gut, the vicious cylce and how

it contributes to menatl illness.

This monodisacharide diet reflects the one that man was geneticaly

predisposed to eat...it reflects the origional diet of mankind.

This is why SCD works in resolving or managing many pschological and

neruological issues.

Hope this helps, Antoinette
