Guest guest
Hi All. I have had cp for 2 years now. I logged on to the internet last night looking for help to some of my questions for the pain, depression, and the other problems with cp. Coping, know it is never going to go away that I lost my old life to cp and the pain is there to remind me has been the hardest to deal with. I have been in and out of the hopital 2 many time to count. I have developed diabetes that cannt seem to get under contol I am taking 2 types of insulin as well as oral agents for this. I have been on mepergan switching every other month to lortab. Last night I was in so much pain. I paged my doc she told me to go to the er. I thought oh no another trip of disappointment, and I was right. I left with more pain then, I was in when I got there but, no more vomiting tho. I got a shot of phenergan but, dr. said it was all I needed for the pain and would help with the vomiting, as the tears ran down my cheek. He told me my amalise was 170 and lipase 270 that was not high enough for any treatment. To go home and continue on my pain meds as my dr. prescribed for me. I have not worked in a year now. filed for ssi in june and, of course denied. I have got an attonery for this, I have read many of you alls previous postings, they are encouraging and helpful. I just want to introduce myself and thank you all for letting me become apart of your group. May god bless and help all of you.
Guest guest
HI, what is your name? Where are you located? I am so sorry your doctors are being difficult. You can have a pancreatic attack and have normal or below normal levels of enzymes. Check out the below website. One the right hand, roll your cursor over the Select a section and a popdown menu will appear. Go to Diagnosis, biochemical measurements and read the first sentense. You might want to print this out for your doctor. Hopkins is one of the most reknown hospitals and many of us have used this as corroboration that you don't have to have elevated enzymes to have an attack. http://www.hopkins-gi.org/pages/latin/templates/index.cfm?pg=disease1 & organ=4 & di\ sease=24 & lang_id=1 Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Maybe next time you post, you can tell us your name so we can reply more personally. Applying for SSDI can be difficult, and don't despair, apparently denial the first time around is very common. Hopefully with the assistance of an attorney, you will have better luck. What types of insulin are you taking? I, too, have CP and am also a brittle Type 1 diabetic. I use Lantus and Humalog. I'm currently on my first appeal process with my SSDI application. Post again and tell us a little more about yourself, and feel free to post or comment if anyone else has something you want to contribute to, okedoke? With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
