Guest guest
Friday night after having a day of shopping and a wonderful mexican dinner, I started hurting on the drive home. Knowing this was my pancreas acting up I immediately took my enzymes when I got home and also some drops that I have to control the bacteria and toxins that are being put off during my attacks, but nothing for pain, I do not have any prescription medications for pain. I went to bed at around 10 pm and could not sleep. It was the first time since my panc cancer diagnosis that I've had an attack, and one of the worst I've ever had in the 10 years since I've had this disease. I could not breath, could not lay still, I tried to lay on my side, on my back, on my other side, on my stomach, nothing could help. I got up and tried to walk, key word TRIED, I was doubled over just walking. I layed in the bed and just cried, I didn't want to worry anyone in my house so I called my b/f who is currently in South Carolina, and worried him, he wanted me to go to the ER which I refused, I just couldn't handle the thought of them putting me on morphine or getting me in the hospital to only recommend treatment as drastic as chemotherapy would be. What I am needing to know is what could I take immediately when the pain is that bad to help me cope? Something other than a prescription drug that would help relieve the pain? I finally got enough relief at 6:30 am saturday morning to fall asleep. If anyone has any advice I'm willing to take it.
