Guest guest
I have asked Patti to moderate the list in my absence. She moderated this list with me for well over a year. She knows SCD inside and out. She can also put people on moderated status while I am gone. If the arguing continues, I suggest that she just put the people who are arguing on moderated status until I return to sort it all out. The list of legal supplements can be found on pecanbread.com. It is not all-inclusive because there several hundred supplement manufactures, but it is pretty extensive. The list of legal/illegal foods can be found on Elaine's website: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info Anyone suggesting the use of blatantly illegal foods or supplements can be set to moderated while I am gone. Let's talk about SCD. Let's talk about how we incorporate it into our lives in a way that is functional. Let's share tips on how to make it work for families. Let's share recipes and ideas on how to get picky kids to eat new foods. SCD has made a huge difference in many kids lives. Let's get back to the business of making it easier for the new parents to implement SCD. From now on people posting messages that are off-topic without marking them " OT " will be sent one warning. If the person posts a second time about an off-topic subject (meaning that it doesn't pertain to food, food preparation, general and specific questions about SCD, reports on how the diet is going for their family... etc.), then the person will be set to moderated. Off-topic posts include, but are not limited to: chelation, magnetic sleeping pads, HBOT, ABA, RDI, VB, any other autism behavior therapy, other diets such as BED, LOD, GFCF, Feingold, Sara's Diet, etc. (This does not mean that people cannot post messages about these topics, but they must clearly be marked " OT " in the subject line. This allows the members of this list to skip over them if they prefer to read only messages dealing with SCD.) I did not want to have to come in like a referree and start sending people to the " penalty box " . But I have had enough. This list exists to support families implementing SCD. It's time we get back to doing that- IMMEDIATELY. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
