Guest guest
Hello all. Just found out a while ago that I am pregnant with my second child. We have decided that we don't want to go through the hell that we went through with our first child (11 weeks premature, complicated meconium ileus that required major surgery, NICU for 10 weeks, g-tube fed, refuses to eat orally, etc.) so we will not continue with the pregnancy if we find out the fetus has CF. We are getting the CVS (Chorionic Villus Sampling) test done at 11 weeks. We have been told that it can take as little as 10-14 days for test results or up to 4 weeks. ugh. Does anyone have experience with this type of testing (CVS)? Did it hurt? Were they able to get a lot of tissue samples? We have to wait a LOOONNGGGG 5 more weeks just for the test to be done. THANKS! (mom to Ashton 2 wcf)
