Guest guest
Kimber, I have explored aromatherapy to some extent, but not specific enough to understand how it is used to treat specific conditions. Please post the name of the Aromatherapist and contact information for all of us. My sister lives in California and has access to many alternative therapist that prepare their own remedies. She sees this one Chinese herbalist that makes individual preparations specific to her body. Jang has been working on an Alternative and Complementary Medicine resource guide. It will be available soon and accessible from the website. I realized that we were really had a void by the number of inquiries I receive asking for information on these modalities. Talk to the Aromatherapist you use and ask her if she would like to be included as a resource. It is good to see you posting! Karyn E. , RN Exec. Guest guest
Kimber, Thank you for that information regarding Al'e , Aromatherapist. You mentioned that you have sent this information out on this board before. It is funny how, when you are not ready for something it just passes you by, and when the student is ready the teacher appears. I will let you know how it turns out. Blessings, Karyn E. , RN Exec. Guest guest
All, here is the contact information for the aromatherapist who provides me with the inhalant to control my nausea. It's called Morning Sickness (she has another one call Nausea, but it didn't work as well for me). If you do decide to use her stuff, please remember to tell her of any allergies you have, so that if any particular item has stuff you are allergic to , she can make a substitute. She has standard items, but has no problem in making things specifically for a person. She did this for me with the inhalant. Nornally she uses Wheat Germ Oil as the base for her Morning Sickness recipe, but I didn't respond well to it, so she substituted Almond Oil for the base and it works wonderfully. Gia's Traditions Al'e Aromatherapist 16214 36th Ave. W Suite 114 Lynwood, WA 9803.7 gias_traditions@... I met Al'e at a convention in Oregon a couple of years ago. She has 3 sizes of bottles, small, medium and Large. I bought a small bottle of the Morning Sickness inhalant, which was $5.00 (plus shipping and handling). It lasted me over a year. Warning, don't buy the large bottle of anything unless you KNOW you'll use it all up fairly quickly because oil can go rancid. Al'e is a trained aromatherapist (she went to a college that teaches how to use the aromatherapy for healing) and she's also been trained as a massage therapist as the two work together very well for healing. I also bought a small bottle that can be hung around the neck on a chain and I keep the morning sickness oil in it so I have it with me all the time. I also have bought other of her oils, one called Severe Pain for migraines and sore muscles (sorry, it doesn't work on pancreas pain), and one called Helping Hands for my arthritis in my hands and it also helps on some of the aches and pains I get from having so much scar tissue on my veins in my wrists. Al'e has had no problem with my referring her to other people and I have sent out this information in the past on this board. There is no guarantee that what works for me to curb my nausea will work on another person as each person is different and responds differently to certain scents. The best thing to do is talk to Al'e a bit about what you are looking for, and what scents to avoid so that she can tailor the scent to you. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
