Guest guest
Things are pretty tense in NY. Thursday I took Dylan to CF Center at Schneiders Children Hosp. security was tight -- due to a bomb threat! FBI came and baracades etc. set up. It was weird walking in with such security. Dylan appt. was amazing. I only took him for PFTs and Blood work. I ran into the Dr. in the hall by the gift shop and she told me she wanted to see him for clearance (not pediatrition who I hoped for since its so much quicker). Well, she did full exam in her OFFICE.....he needed blood work she came down to the lab and help his arm while I held him down with my arms and legs. He screamed blue murder - you could hear up for 1 block. My 10 yr. said he heard him in the gift shop and people were saying I am glad I am not him. I was AWFUL!!!!!!!! That God for the Dr. she was amazing. She even checked out my 10 yr. I dread Dylan's surgery. He has such sensory issues and will freak at being away from home. Thats where ONE DAY AT A TIME comes in. I won't think about til then....I will just take it one day at a time......... The stores around here have NO water - people are buying duck tape like mad. I wish I owned stock in 3M (the duck tape manufacturer)...They are making a fortune.. Personally, I love duck tape...... Rosemary from New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12.5, 10, 6...... I coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; we have a dog we named -are you ready for this - TOBI after their medication!!! At least it wasn't albuterol or Coly...
