Guest guest
About Ewing's Sarcoma of Bone Ewing's sarcoma is a type of bone cancer found in children and young adults. The peak incidence is between ages 10 and 20, it is less common in children under 5 or in adults over 30. Ewing's s can occur in any bone in the body; the most common sites are the pelvis, thigh, lower leg, upper arm, and rib. Diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRI scans etc). will be used to show the exact site and size of the tumour and check to see if the tumour has spread elsewhere. A tiny sample of the tumour is taken (biopsy) for examination by a pathologist who will make the diagnosis. Patients will receive surgery and / or radiotherapy to the main tumour. Chemotherapy is needed to kill cancer cells that are circulating around the body away from the main tumour. Sarcoma Resources Directory scroll down to read more about Ewings Sarcoma if y'all are interested. in SC Pre-op 386 lbs./ 365 lbs./ Waiting on ins. approval If you see someone without a smile, Give them one of yours. Guest guest
, Thanks for sending this out. But it doesn't sound like my cancer at all. Maybe I was misdiagnosed. My cancer was found in the soft tissue at the back of my neck. I found it when I was 29, of course my PCP, GYN and ENT all said it was a swollen lymph gland. I complained of being tired and exhausted but they said you have three childred and are working full-time of course your tired. After about 9 months, I told the ENT to take it out. He did it in his office no major deal nothing. He was shocked when it came back malignant. I ended up going to Hopkins. 30 year old women who don't smoke or drink aren't supposed to get Ewings, and Ewings isnt supposed to be in the neck or in the soft tissue. I was lucky, I found it took action and had it removed. It was fully encapsulated and had not spread. Chemo and radiation were just for good measure and I gained weight while having it. Thanks to God, I have been healthy (Fat & healthy) ever since 5 years. Nothing in the bones, ribs or anywhere thank goodness. So if you ever feel sick, make sure you are listened to re: your symptoms. Many times you will know your body better and will know when something is wrong.
