Guest guest
In the last post, I mentioned DJ's allergies. Welllllllll................yesterday he came home and looked just pale and yukky. He's already got a tan after the little bit of nice weather we've had after our long winter, but he sure didn't at that moment!!! He says " Mom.....I'm having........trouble.......breathing........today " , and was unable to take a deep breath. I ran and got the stethoscope and listened to him, and was unable to hear any lung sounds in his upper and middle lobes. Down in the lower lobes, all I could hear was this humming/whistling/wheezing sound, so I rushed him to the Walk-in Clinic, and the doc took one listen and said, " Wow--I think you need a nebulizer treatment! Sounds like you may have asthma! " So, he got albuterol, finally started being able to breathe again (btw--by the time we got there, he was really struggling harder, so they saw him fast). After the neb, the doc came back in and listened to him and said, " Well, we made progress--you've gone from having no sound in there to sounding really crappy! So at least things are open and moving again! " So he put him on 4 days of prednisone and albuterol syrup TID, and we are seeing his regular doc this morning. NOT a good evening last night! LOL LOL The albuterol sure made him FEEL better, thank GOD, but it also made him hyper as heck!!!!!!! LOL Well, better get going and get ready to go to the clinic!
