Elaine did approve the use of enzymes.

For proof, people can read through the archives of what Elaine wrote

when she participated on the Lyris list with us.

(The link to Lyris in the links section of this Yahoo! group.)

I have personal correspondence with her that shows she did approve of

the use of enzymes. It is not stored in my current e-mail program,

but I will look for it later today.

THE TRUTH IS, Elaine feared protease...yes she may have promoted

others like lipase. But she also tells us when the gut heals on the

SCDIET...and a person sticks with the SCDiet that we will not need

them. Assuming that our pancreatic function is normal.

In her book she tells us that if you have an autistic child that

they have an undiagnosed damaged and injured gut...so beware of

protease when you are healing in the beginning, it burns and cuases

cramping and diarrhea. Actualy was slowing our progress not helping

it.

Sincerely Antoinette (2 mo + recovering from damaged intestines that

cause autism spectrum problems...just like Elaine explains in her

book)
