Steve,

You wrote, " I was just recently diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis and am

interested in learning how others are coping with this disease. I am also

diabetic (type ll) which my GI specialist thinks is a result of this disease. "

Well, you have come to the right place. Most of us have Pancreatitis, one form

or another, and we'll all (probably) have diabetes, sooner or later, or not as

the case may be. I certainly want to remain hopeful.

Where do you live? I ask because some areas of the country are expanding into

face to face and telephone support networks to reach people who don't have

computers. I found that in my early days, if I just surround myself with people

who took an active role in the own healing, stepped aboard the journey to read

and learn, investigate all options as to their availability, but also

determine where I stood on different philosophical treatment issues. That pretty

much

took up that one day...at a time. More than that was just a little too much.

It gets easier. If you throw in all those little lessons that you feel you

must be wanted to learn or you wouldn't be on this path, it even gets

interesting.
