Hey all. Just wanted to let you all know that ph's port surgery

was yesterday. the surgeon was wonderful. he said it was a bit hard

that jojo has really small veins, which might be why we were having

so much trouble too with blood draws, so its a good thing we didn't

try a picc line first, sounds like it wouldn't have worked anyway.

Jojo is not like Mallory and , in the sense that they are ok

with everything, go with the flow, in fact, mallory likes all the

attn half the time... Jojo is cranky, and came back in more pain

than the others. I suspected they didn't give him anything in

recovery...

anyway, other than that, he is home and fine now, helping us (and hte

nurse finally when she came for blood draws, at first he freaked out

when she put on gloves even though she has been at our house tons of

times for the other kids....) but anyway, so now he is happy to help

clamp off, push saline, etc. still very sore and we have to carry

him everywhere but at thirty lbs that isn't so bad,

just wanted to give an update.

take care everyone.

mommy of 7, 3 with CF (now all three with ports.....)
