Does anyone ever det depressed or overwhelmed by reading all the different

stories and articles about cf and cfers? My son isn't even 2 yet, and sometimes

after I read the articles and post here I get scared tha he will leave this

earth too young!!

LIKE NOW, HE'S BEEN PRETTY HEALTHY SINCE EARLY NOV., BUT NOW HES BEEN RUNNING A

TEMP OF 102.2(EAR) FOR 3 DAYS. HIS PEDIATRICIAN SAID HE SOUNDED GOOD AND HAD NO

EAR INFECTION, BUT TO CALL IF HE SHOWED ANY SIGN OF INCREASED COUGH OR COLORED

MUCUS.

I start to second guess everything I know when Chas gets sick. Is it crazy to be

so paranoid over what might just be a simple cold? He had one about three weeks

ago and got over it just fine. But, now he is lethargic (Spelling?) and will not

hardly eat or drink!! What if he loses weight? We just got on the growth chart

about 3 mos ago!!

Like I said I get so crazed and sometimes depressed when I read all the articles

and posts about stuff I didn't know or stuff that shows that maybe I am not

doing enough!! Yet, I don't know where the energy will come from to do MORE!! I

have two older children from my marriage and they need my love and attention too

especially because they are still (almost three years later) dealing wit the

effects of divorce. Chas's(my child wcf) dad is very in love with his son, but

his and my realtionship is very strained by the health issues and the financial

struggles that we face due to CF and other outside problems. SO with all of the

S* " % going on all the time, how do I make more time for education about CF?

I know I am whining, but I just feel like screaming right now. I don't want to

be a grown up anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, after all I am one and I love my children more than anything else. They are

my hope and joy!!!! If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts on how to balance

life and life with CF please tell me!!
