Guest guest
Hi everyone, I had to share what just happened! KiKi use to have an unusual behavior at the kitchen sink. Jody thinks that it is " stimming " ...we are learning aboaut this ASD thing. Along with all her other ASD traits I don't doubt that it was. She was first diagnosed with Celiac Disease/malabsorption of the intestines....did not respond to gfcfsf diet. Before SCD her failur to develop and grow normaly continued. TWO MONTHS INTO STRICT SCD...even with cow cheese experiments that went bad and a few supplements that we discovered where illegaland took away immediately, just doing vitamin supplementation, a few enzymes and the natural chelation the SCDiet offers: She got the sink water on this morning...and was playing at the sink again....at first I thought " oh my God not again! " filling cups and dumping them over and over and over and over again....she can do this for literaly hours if I let her. In the past when I stopped this behavior she would melt down and start hitting her head lightly with her hand...in anger and protest....just a mess...could not console her...unless I turned water back on....or just delt with it untill she exhuased herself. This morning.....I turned the water off, telling her that she had had enough " fun " playing in the water.....and she DID NOT PROTEST...did not throw a fit...did not hit her self! She went on to the family room to play. Something else that is new...starting to demonstrate imaginary play with her doll! She is a different child!!!! I couldn't belive it.....I can't believe now....I pray that this behavior is gone forever! AMEN...and Thank God for Elaine and her BTVC book and this serve and Jody, Carol, and all who have helped us....keeping us on the " strict and narrow...and making sure we understood " fanatical adherance " and good foods....it is paying off! We are able to tolerat raw fruits and carrots now too! YEAH! Still can't tolerate nut flours though! And took away the cheese! Only using goat yogurt for probiotics...other than that dairy free! Sincerely, Antoinette mother to 23 month old, KiKi: Celiac and ASD traits vanishing.
