Guest guest
Maureen, I had to write to tell you that I am 20 pounds overweight and no matter how I eat or excersize I can not lose a pound either. I think it has something to do with having pancreatitis. Perhaps one day they will find out it is a special form of the disease or something. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone in being overweight with this disease and not being able to lose weight despite diet. My last doctor also thought this was a good sign of health that I didn't lose weight either. And frankly if we have a severe attack lasting for a long period of time, at least we have the weight to lose. Some others that suffer from this dreaded disease just don't have that " luxury " of the weight to lose. Sandy Faifield, California Maureen: from Louisiana.... One of the symptoms of Pancreatis is rapid unexplained weight loss. I was on jello & fat free pudding for 7 weeks. I only lost 10 pounds. I was then put on a liquid diet. I have been on this for over a week and have only lost 1 pound. I am overweight and I think if I have to starve like this the least I could do is loose more weight. The doctor thinks my not loosing weight is a good sign. I just want to know how bad this is and if they can do anything for it.
