Weel, speaking as " just the patient " and " just the mother of one, " I can

say this----that unless they have tested for all 1010 mutations, they can

not rule cf out on that basis, and with borderline sweat scores, that gives a

slight indication. What IS impressive to me, and ought to be to

any cf pediatrician, is the medical condition and history of your child.

I am betting on cf--and/or in the absence of a definitive diagnosis at

this time, that the usual cf protocols be instituted to see whether he

improves on them--which will probably be the deciding factor. Any-

thing else is medical neglect, in my view, said she with all the bias of

an adult wcf and the mother of another plus two cf carriers!!!

I will definetly look around and try to find another doctor. They only did one

DNA test, and I will bet that it wasn't all 1010.
