Guest guest
Hi! I'm new on this forum too. I've been here about 3 weeks & am starting to get to know people. Everyone I've had contact with are all very exceptional people & have tons of info. But what I like the most is that they know what I feel without me having to try puting it into words. Your story is so much like mine. I had acute pancreatitis, 2 duodenal ulcers, & " sludge " in my gall bladder at the same time. They removed my gallbladder but the pancreatitis never went away. I've had the openings " cut " , stents, & still can't get rid of it. (My docs say the openings are abnormally small but they aren't sure that's what's wrong.) I can't drink ANY alcohol or I end up in the hospital. I went through a few years of doctors not believing me when I told them I don't drink. That association of pancreatitis being caused by alcoholism was difficult for me to deal with for the 1st few years (I first got sick in 1993). I'm glad I don't have to deal with that frustration now. Did you ever have that problem? I think part of the reason they had that attitude where I was living at the time is b/c the drug & alcohol addiction rate is highest in the state there.
