I also have woken up during an ERCP. Talk about terrifying. Also

during one of my surgeries, I woke up too early and pulled out my

intubation tube it is really scary. The most frustrating part is

often when I try to tell them about my tolerance in advance, they act

as if they don't believe me; until afterwards! I get a lot of " don't

worry, we do this all the time. " and " You'll be fine " 's. That

doesn't reassure me because I am not the every day cases that they

deal with. The humbled " you were right " 's after don't make up for it

either.
