Guest guest
My son was on the gfcf diet for one year due to fogginess and learning disablitites. Removing the dairy made a remarkable difference so I am sure he has a problem with casein. I am going to start making the yogurt. He has never had digestive issues (except minor constipation). He has been SCD for 8 weeks (minus the yogurt) and is having phenomenal success. I have several questions: 1: Is the casein problem he has due to a leaky gut? Therefore could I make him cow's milk yogurt since presumably his gut is healing? 2: If he cannot have the cow's milk yogurt, how many of you with casein intolerance have done well with the goat's milk yogurt? 3: Should I just be safe and use the nut milk yogurt? Does it have as much probiotics as the cow's milk or goat's milk yogurt? Is it true that the nut milk yogurt has 750 billion CFUs per cup? 4: What yogurt starter should I use and where can I get it, especially if the casein is a problem? I am sorry this is so lengthy. I just want to make the right choice. I am so scared of changing anything because he is doing so well. Thanks Sue 6 yr old son (APD?)
