Islet Cell Transplant Registration-Clinical Trials

Hey gang,

I went on the University of Minnesota's Islet Cell Transplant site

and tried to register for one of the clinical trials but was

rejected. This was due to the fact that I do not have Type 1

Diabetes. Do you have to have this type of diabetes in order to

qualify for this surgical procedure? Can't it be done strictly for

pain relief and to eventually stave off any onset of diabetes? I'm a

bit confused, as you can see. Or, maybe I am on the wrong site and

should try and register from some other site altogether? Help!!!
