Guest guest
Patty, I just want to reinforce your stance on early intervention and recognition of Pancreatitis complications, such as insulin insufficiency (Diabetes). I definitely support your comment of " would like her working in advance with a diabetes specialist prior to onset as a possible preventative measure. " You should ask the doctor to consider prescribing a glucometer so you can monitor her blood sugars with more regularity and in relationship to her food intake. They have several on the market that allow for alternative site testing such as the forearm. Blessings, Karyn E. , RN Exec.
