,

I had a EUS and Ca 125 which where all normal, and I still had an early sign

of changes in the pancreas cells that made them what to take a larger portion

the pancreas out at the time of the Whipple. I do not think there is any

standard test to measure the progress of the disease. Your symptoms art the

best measure of the disease progress. I would get amylase ad lipase when ever

I had pain and/or nausea. Although the numbers are not always elevated as

many of us now. A Good Gastroenterologist should be keeping a close eye on you.

And ever closer visit when your symptoms are active. As you may know those of

us that have had this disease keep a close eye on our symptoms. We need to

have physician treat and watch our symptoms those symptoms are message that

our bodies are tell us -- something is right or wrong.

Take care,

gail
