Guest guest
Mike, Welcome to our group. We're anxious to help you with your questions and your problems. I've pasted below this first paragraph a website that fully explains chronic pancreatitis, its symtoms, treatment, surgical options and many other particulars that you should know concerning your care. While it lacks the personal touch of me telling you all these things, it is thorough and concise and gives a pretty good overview of most everything you would need to know right now. http://www.uptodate.com/patient_info/topicpages/topics/23877K 8.asp It's a long website, so make sure you get all of it! IMHO, your first doctor sounds like an insensitive and impatient doctor who isn't interested in your health care and you are much better off without him. His attitude really angers me, so it's better that I leave it at that and tell you that I hope you can find a doctor who is willing to treat you with some compassion and experience, because there is a lot that can be done to make your life with this disease better, and having a good specialist is the key to your better health. So is education, so I urge you to research as much as you can, read through old posts to learn about issues we've discussed, and visit the pancreatitis library website at: http://www.top5plus5.com/ This site also has terrific information that you could use. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have, and we'll do our best to answer.
