Guest guest
Hello , Thankyou for that information , this was my understanding about the finger pricks for Tobi levels. And the information on deafness is also what I have found out so far. But I will be finding out more on Monday at Clinic. And they will not be beating me around the bush. I want some answers. My daughter got the finger pricks with Tobi an well as Tobra when we were in the hospital. They do not usually do the finger pricks with Tobi but since was only a week away from her 2nd birthday the doc wanted to know the levels. Good thing too because a full dose was too much and he put her on half doses. The hearing loss can come from the Tobi or IV Tobramycin regardless of the levels being ok for the liver. I have only had that done with Tobramycin in IV FORM not INHALED. The hearing loss is interesting. I always assumed that it was related to the loud machines, TV, vest, nebulizers and my screaming BREATHE!!!!!!!!!!!! Rosemary in NY with 3 children (12, 10 and 6) with CF.
