Pulmonary Disease Adventure Retreat

Hey All,

I am so excited.YOUNGLUNG is getting together an Adventure Retreat for Teens

and young adults with Chronic lung disease,ages 12-40.It'll be held over a 4

day period in the North Carolina Mountains this July! ! !

Infection Control Measures of Course must be followed..No past postive

cultures for B.Cepacia,MRSA/ORSA that has been cultured in the last #2 years,

or any bugs that are resistant to most or all antibiotics.

Here is a rough draft of what to expect on the trip...All nebs and treatments

will be done.We will be in a facility with electricity.The cost for the whole

weekend...except for transportation...is $130.

So start saving your pennies guys ! ! ! I cannot wait...if you are interest

Here is a rough iteniary: 

Day 1) whitewater rafting on the French Broad River ($22.95 per person) 

Day 2) guided beginner rock climbing and rappelling ($40 per person) 

Day 3) whitewater rafting on the Pigeon River ($22.95) Lodging – Crocket

Cabin ($15 per night) on Nolichucky River (bunkhouse cabin, just bring your

sleeping bags). There is a shower house, sand volleyball court and the

Appalachian trail is nearby.) Crocket Cabin is at the USA Raft outpost on the

Nolichucky River, 1 hour north of Asheville and the French Broad River. There

will be driving between activities, but not too bad. The setting is

absolutely beautiful and rustic! Food: we can provide lunch after the raft

trip on the FB and during the climbing trip for $5 per person. Pizza and fast

food are available near the Crocket Cabin (15 minute drive) for dinner.

 Depending on the dates you are coming, we will have to alter the sequence of

activities, since the Pigeon does not run every day. Call me if you need more
