Guest guest
Here I go again, complaining about normal test results. The radiologist gave me a preliminary report before I left the table on Monday and he says the pancreas looks perfectly normal, with no pseudocyts and no calcification. Guess the disease is progressing slower than I believed because of the increasing frequency of pain, nausea, and fatigue. It has been just 1 1/2 years since my first acute pancreatitis diagnosis and there have been no laboratory results to determine the cause of that episode, or the continuing problems. I work part-time, but many days don't feel capable of doing even a few hours' work. I'm not sleeping well, and the nausea that just began in May is still mild (ginger helps - nothing stronger needed) but is nearly every day now to some extent. The pain I have is nothing compared to what many of you describe - or I have an extremely high tolerance - rarely do I need to take the Vicodin prescribed for me. What gets to me is the constant low-degree of pain, it just wears me down. I know I need to think " one day at a time " instead of, how much longer can I deal with this. And it really helps to be able to vent to a group that does understand. Best wishes for a good day to everyone. Aloha, in Hawaii
