Guest guest
Like Christy, I am new too! Most of the questions she has, I have the same. I also have BC/BS of SC going into effect August 1. I have decided not to alert them for the time being. I am going to have all of the diagnostics done for the associated illnesses first ie sleep apnea, pain and pain management and the urinary so forth and so on. Then once I am armed and a little more dangerous -- so to speak then I will pursue the insurance company. I'm not real sure I up to any more rejection because of my weight at this point in time. I do feel somewhat relieved knowing that an end to this madness is within arms reach though. I have waited a lifetime for this, what's a few more months! Any one who has successfully battled BC/BS of SC please let me hear from you. I am taking this one step at a time. Is there an order in which all this needs to be done? I have gone all through Dr. R's web site and have down loaded the patient manual. I have contacted some of the individuals on the the site. All have given me a positive response. I was even fortunate enough to speak to a person who had the procedure done in January. I would love to speak with anyone else. My phone number is 843/293-1561. I live in Myrtle Beach -- not exactly a safe haven for a fat person -- temporarily fat person. Please call or e-mail me. Good luck to all and may all of us be successful.
