Guest guest
Hi. I have vascular rosacea, I think. I went to see my Dr. and she recommended Metrogel, of which I am using the cream form, Metrocream. I don't have big bumps on my face. I do have many blood vessels visible on my cheeks. I do have little tiny bump-ettes on my forehead mostly. My face turns bright read when I exercise in warm weather -- always has, since my teens and now I'm in my 50's. I've been applying the Metrocream twice daily for about three weeks. So, here are my questions: 1) Will these blood vessels every become less visible? I know the condition is chronic, but can I hope for better appearance without makeup, or will I have to wear makeup to cover the blood vessels? I've never worn makeup and don't have a clue where to begin. 2) Is it possible I'm allergic to my own sweat? When I wear long jeans and hike in hot weather my legs get a heat rash. My legs sweat more than my head, I think. The heat rash eventually (1 or 2 days) goes away. 3) I'm not going to stop having a life out of doors, which means I will continue to turn bright red on hot days. Is there anything I can do to minimize the side effects? (Wash in cold water right away, maybe?) Thanks for your time and answers.
