Guest guest
Good morning, , While reading your posts your mention of your need to pee frequently on two different posts sent alarms buzzing in the back of my mind. Since this is diabetes awareness month, I've made a personal commitment to bring reminders of this disease to the forefront on every opportunity. I was scheduled to walk in a Diabetes Awareness walk-a-thon this weekend, which unfortunately due to my current physical limitations, I won't be able to do....unless I, too, avail myself of one of those motorized handicapped chairs....(smile). But getting back to my concern, I try not to be an alarmist, but when I notice a symtom that I once overlooked before I was diagnosed with diabetes, I have to speak out. The need to urinate frequently is one of the early signs of diabetes. Have you been tested by your doctor? I would suggest it, if you haven't already done so. My focus on diabetes awareness has already helped two people who had diabetes and didn't know it. The fact that it was discovered early due to these concerns, and will be much easier to treat because of this early discovery, is all the fuel I needed to continue my personal diabetes awareness campaign. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl.
