Guest guest
Donna, if your doctors aren't willing to deal with pain medications, as Heidi said, get to a pain specialist or a pain clinic. Most pain clinics treat chronic pain with a long-lasting pain med (like the Duragesic patch, MScontin, Oxycontin and Methadone, etc) and a short -term breakthrough pain med (percocet, oxycodone, darvocet, etc). The long lasting takes care of the everyday gnawing pain and the breakthrough med takes care of the periodica flares of pain. Doesn't stop a full fledged attack, but at least you can deal with a flare that lasts a few hours or even a day or two. Hope this helps you. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
