Guest guest
Hi Jean, I have been following your ordeal concerning your daughter but never had anything to say that I thought would help. I still don't - I feel so helpless, even though you must feel even more so. I just want to offer my support and to encourage you to keep on trying to get through to her. As something to consider - if you think that the situation is critical enough, your local police can get involved and take her into protective custody. This is an involved process but can also be done as an emergency situation too. I believe that it is called " Chapter 51 " or something like that. We have used it in rescue squad situations where the patient refuses to be taken to the hospital when it is a life threatening situation. A police person can become a temporary custodian - immediately if it is a life threatening emergency, or acting as your spokesperson, with legal work in hand, if it is not an immediate emergency. If you contact your social services agency they may be able to give you more information about this. Otherwise, I really have nothing to offer other than to commend you on your efforts - I wish that she was more responsive to your caring attempts. I really hope that she lets you in, at the least.
