Tumours causing pancreatitis

I thought a stent had fixed my pancreatitis for the time being, but

that was short lived. 3 weeks and I ended up in hospital yet again.

The GI has told me that he can't help me any further. It is obviously

the tumours growing on my pancreas causing the problem and as they

are feeding off major blood vessels, removing them is out of the

question. My case manager from BCBS suggested I go to Hopkins

for experimentation ...so this I inquire about, get a referral and

call her back and she then tells me that anything experimental will

not be covered by insurance.

I should ask the Doctor if they will put me as a clinical trial or

case study for the hospital to foot the bill.

Now I feel like i've been thrown full circle to the beginning again.

I have yet to speak with the Doctor at JH...but hope that my case is

interesting enough to warrant me as a trial *laugh*...now i'm just

trying to manage my pain to look after my little girl
