rosacia, fungus, or what?

Hi all. What do you guys think I'm dealing with? I'm 24 years old,

and have always had healthy looking skin with a tiny bit of acne.

About eight months ago I developed a brown (sometimes redish) look on

my face in and around the same areas that rosacia affects, but not as

conformed. My acne increased extensively before the brown color set

in. When my skin is agitated it becomes mildly swollen, rough to the

touch, and the pigmentation darkens. My cheeks and nose have

developed several visible blood vessels, and my pores have become

larger. Plexion Cleanser has helped with the inflammation and

discoloration a whole lot. Metrogel has kept the inflammation in

check a bit. Topical and oral acne only medications (Septra DS,

Minocin, Natures Cure, Benzaclin Topical Gel) have caused reactions

such as a slightly aged look, darkening, inflammation, and pain.

Stress, anxiety, and sunlight also cause these reactions in different

combinations and severity, and are often delayed after the exposure.

Alcoholic beverages cause a uneven and unhealthy looking texture.

Exercise and heat make my face look slightly better immediately after

the exposure. The oral rosacia medication (Doryx) helped, but

results were short lived. Does any of this sound like anything any

of you all have experienced in any stage of your condition? My

dermatologist doesn't think it is rosacia. What advise can you

offer? I'm desperate for some relief. Any response would be

appreciated. Thanks so much :)
