Guest guest
My situation is a bit unusual, I'm working with a chronic fatigue syndrome specialist and have agreed to follow his protocol to the letter this year. But then I read about the SCD and thought it might be helpful as well since he mentions xenobiotic toxins in the gut as contributing some of the problems in CFIDS. However, some of the things I am supposed to take have small amounts of lactose and starch in them, like ImmunePro, Zypan digestive enzymes, and other supplements. I started on a semblance of the diet Sunday, but no honey due to hypoglycemia, no eggs or cow dairy due to allergies. Tried to make goat yogurt but my gas oven pilot only gets the oven to 90 so that didn't work. Need to get a yogurt maker. Made some almond carrot muffins that turned out okay. I just used pulp from when I juiced carrots, ground almonds myself, coconut oil, cinnamon, baking soda and water. I quit drinking rice milk, eating rice crackers, etc., etc, but am wondering if doing a semblance of the diet will do me any good at all. Don't remember the last time I had diarrhea but I have leaky gut syndrome, gluten/casein intolerance, have had digestive tests that indicated high levels of fecal fat, rapid transit and imbalanced flora. any comments appreciated, Helen
