Guest guest
Dear Sara & Floyd, I had you on my mind recently. I am so sorry to hear of your tragic news of the death of Floyd's brother and his own worsening condition. Please give him all of our condolences, and consider yourself group hugged. That is so much stress to be going through. Long distance as well. It is very difficult dealing with such a serious disease and complications that Floyd is having with your local docs, it must be a task difficult to bear, having to have trust in newly found doctors, and neither of you know each other. Healing takes trust on both sides of the health care team. But, as you have persevered so many times in the past, I see that you, once again, are rising to the occasion, at least to keep standing. I know that you must long for your own home, and comfort of your bed. You deserve what must be long overdue rest. Please take care, check in, take care of yourself also. Floyd is strong. We headed to NY the same day where his family is. He handled the trip ok, but the stress of why we were here has caused problems. he is currently in the hospital for the 2nd time, his stomach is not draining right. It keeps filling with bile and causing pain. The doctors here were hesitant to do anything invasive, they wanted to get him well enough to travel and send him home. This does not look like it is going to happen. At present he has an NG tube in and the drainage he has been getting without eating is to high, at 5am they got 350ml which is too much. Tomorrow they are having him see a gastro doctor and will probably do a scope to see what is going on. While they are in there they will place a feeding tube, he is down to 111 lbs now ( I have turned the newsletter off for now, but am occasionally checking my e-mail. I will try and keep ya updated as things progress. Just wanted y'all to know why we have not been on. God Bless all and may you all have pain free days .
