Guest guest
Kim; I did find it at Whole Foods, but have overcome my neurotic phobia of GNC! Sorr--post certainly did not make that clear! Cheers! n Rojas, whose orthopedist still thinks it is gout, but I trust my podiatrist more and he was the one who extracted the synovial fluid which did not show either gout or pseudo gout and at that time neither did my blood tests--I guess nothin is certain, but the odds seem to be that it is NOT gout; my internist and cf doctor agree, which is nice! Guest guest
n, I'm glad it's not gout (which magnesium does help). and 's dad was diagnosed with gout after his cancer surgery. The symptoms were there several months before surgery, then subsided. But as we know, surgery often causes a dormant health issue to flare up. Just a head's up -- GNC doesn't carry the right type of magnesium. GNC carries two types of magnesium wit their label on it: one contains magnesium oxide, the other is a blend of magnesium oxide and magnesium gluconate. You can find chelated magnesium glycinate at Whole Foods under the Solgar label, or order it more cheaply from www.houseofnutrition.com Kim I carefully read your whole post, determined that I was now taking the same type of magnesium that you are (which does indeed NOT cause you-kno-what!), and that my supplements seem to be in order. I may even break down and go into the local mall which I detest and actually enter the same GNC store which I detested last year. Besides, thanks to your advice about magnesium and doseage, etc., they now tell me that it was not gout, but that a previous surgery in same toe had been cracked!! Ha!! Got 'em! Thanks to you. Love to and and love and thanks to you! n Rojas, who may learn slowly, but eventually catches on!
