is this a skin irritant ? ive seen several sites saying that sodium

laureth sulfate and sodium lauryl sulfate can both irritate and

sensitize the skin .. yet its an ingredient in the olay sensitive

skin foaming wash that everyoen loves and dr nase recommends. ???

Sodium lauryl sulfate is more irritating than the laureth sulfate. But both

can often be used as part of a formulation without necessarily being

irritant. Depends on the individual (of course!) and the concentration, the

pH, and other ingredients (which can make the irritation better or worse).

Also whether the product is a rinse-off or leave-on type.
