[MiniGastricBypass]pain meds before surgery

Hi all,

Does anyone know what pain medication it is safe to take within the two weeks

before surgery? (I am thinking positive here, believing that I do have a good

chance of having the surgery in 2-4 weeks.) I have gone off of my Celebrex (for

arthritis), and I am aching. I have also had some bad headaches the last couple

of days, and I am expecting my period within a week or so, and I always have

really terrible cramps that only respond to Aleve (anaprox). I'm not looking

forward to trying to get through that with no pain meds. Should I email Dr. R

and ask him what would be safe to take?
